Dark Squares — Privacy Policy

Effective: July 2026 · Contact: vigdora100@gmail.com

Dark Squares ("the app") is a chess game with weapons, developed by Avi Kremer. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run online play, we don't run ads, we don't use analytics trackers, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

What we do NOT collect

Where your data lives

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging), acting as our data processor, on Google Cloud infrastructure. Traffic between the app and these services is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).

Who can see what

Other players can see your banner name, your presence (if enabled), and the moves of games you play with them. Nobody — including other players — sees any real-world identity data through the app.

Data retention & deletion

Game data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time inside the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, XP and unlocks, friend connections, presence, and banner name. You can also email vigdora100@gmail.com (include your banner name) and we will remove the account and associated data within 30 days.

Children

Dark Squares is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
